Vanguard offers you the opportunity to connect and engage more deeply with the arts.
As a Vanguard donor, you'll have access to a curated year-round calendar of performances, behind-the-scenes experiences, conversations and social events, connecting you with artists, creatives and arts leaders.
With a particular focus on building a community of people aged 25–45, Vanguard is intentionally limited to 100 donors, allowing us to build connection and create intimate experiences throughout the year. Once Vanguard reaches capacity, new expressions of interest will be welcomed to a waitlist.

I am often asked "why the arts?" and the answer is simple; there's more to it than meets the eye. The arts have the power to educate and express, to evoke emotion, to inspire change, and, most importantly, to connect people irrespective of age, culture and circumstance. In all its forms, the arts can play a pivotal role in facilitating expression of self, culture and diversity, giving people a voice, fostering connection and understanding.
As South Australia's leading performing arts and culture institution, the Adelaide Festival Centre aims to make the arts accessible to everyone.
They also recognise that there’s no one size fits all approach to philanthropy. The old ways of giving aren't necessarily in tune with the next generation. There are different ways to give, engage and create impact. Ultimately, you need to be comfortable with what you give, why you give and with whom. That's where Vanguard comes in.
Vanguard was founded to bring together the next generation of arts supporters by creating various opportunities to connect and experience with people who share a passion for the arts and want to invest in the future of arts and culture in South Australia.

Backing New Talent
With support from Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation’s Vanguard initiative, two Adelaide Cabaret Festival acts received a performance fee, flights and accommodation, and full production and marketing support. This level of assistance enabled both acts to reach new audiences in a professional festival environment, without the usual financial and logistical barriers that can prevent independent artists from participating.
